Data and Instructional Facilitators
General Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Elementary Teaching Certificate per current Illinois School code
- Highly qualified per No Child Left Behind
- Demonstrated success as an elementary teacher; minimum three years classroom teaching experience
- Demonstrated success working and collaborating with adult learners
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: Building Administrator(s)
Terms of Employment:
- Wages, hours, terms, and conditions of employment in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Board of Education and the Danville Education Association
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with administrators to assist in planning, scheduling and implementing instructional programming and format to ensure at least 80% of the students meet or exceed expected student growth
- Compile data from student assessments and behavioral records into a format that will facilitate review and analysis for classroom teachers
- Assist teachers and administrators with interpreting and utilizing data to organize differentiated groups and address all students’ individual academic needs
- Provide classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and reading paraprofessionals with strategies and activities that will supplement instruction in core curriculum
- Provide classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and paraprofessionals with strategies and activities that will supplement language arts instruction, including writing instruction, in core curriculum
- Model effective instructional practices through direct teaching of students in small or large group settings
- Support and encourage teachers to effectively implement and integrate technology into their differentiated instruction
- Schedule, provide, and/or implement ideas for small group instruction and management while utilizing differentiated activities
- Provide direct instruction to students in small or large groups
- Promote effective technology use
