General Responsibilities
- Provides support and organization for AAC devices, hardware, software and applications to maximize program services and to support productivity for teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists and students.

Monthly coordination with IT, meetings with IEP teams and individual teachers, various times in the classroom

Must have knowledge of AAC best practices, assistive devices, computer hardware, software applications, etc.
Have experience to coach, lead and support teachers

Attend professional development to increase individual knowledge of AAC devices, software and applications and implement best practices
-
Communicate, implement, and demonstrate practices in instruction that are known to improve support for students utilizing and staff implementing AAC

Provide on-site training, consultation, and coaching to assist schools with implementation
-
Facilitate the professional development of teachers, related service providers and paraprofessionals

Attend IEP meetings for students with AAC devices when appropriate

Work with students during initial implementation of AAC

- Building principal or designee
